Time: 07:58  Location: Jockey Lane, Huntington

Crews from York and Acomb attended reports of a large fire sighted outside a building. On arrival this was confirmed to be a controlled burn under supervision and was extinguished by the responsible people.

Time: 08:52  Location: Park Lane, Womersley

A crew from Selby responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All occupants were out on arrival, crews immobilised one of the vehicles and used a hose reel jet to clear coolant from the road.

Time: 09:09  Location: Sheriff Hutton Road, Strensall

Crews from York and Acomb responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All occupants were out on arrival. Crews disconnected the batteries of both vehicles and the incident was left with the police.

Time: 09:30 Location: Carlton Terrace, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to an injured seagull which was stuck in a gutter multiple floors up. Crews rescued the seagull using the ariel ladder platform and it was left in the care of a responsible person who was taking it to a vet.

A crew from Knaresborough responded to smoke sighted in the open. After a thorough search by the crew no smoke was located.

Crews used ring cutting equipment to remove a ring from the finger of a person who self presented at the fire station.

Time: 11:40  Location: Bishopthorpe Road, York

A crew from York responded to a request from the Ambulance service to help with the difficult extrication of a patient. Crew power was used to extricate the patient from a property to a road ambulance.

Time: 14:26  Location: Esplanade Gardens, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request from the Ambulance service to help extricate a patient from a property to a road ambulance.

Time: 14:34  Location: Kingsway West, York

A crew from Acomb responded to a young person who had accidentally become locked inside a property. Crews used a triple extension ladder to gain access to the property and release the young person who was safe and well.

Time: 15:01  Location: Market Flat Lane, Scotton

A crew from Harrogate responded to a person who had accidentally become locked inside a toilet cubicle. Crews used small tools to release the person who was unharmed.

Time: 15:34  Location: A64 Tadcaster

Crews from Tascaster, Acomb and Harrogate responded to a bus which was on fire. One hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera were used to extinguish the fire and the incident was left in the hands of the police and highways.

Time: 16:30  Location: Beech View, North Duffield

A crew from Selby responded to a request from the Ambulance service to assist with the extrication of a patient from a property to a road ambulance.

 

Crews from Northallerton (x2) and Bentham attended fire alarm activations. On arrival, after investigation, these were all confirmed as false alarms.
