Come and Try Days

We are holding  ‘come and try days’ throughout December 2024 and January 2025 to:

• explain the varied role of a modern-day firefighter
• give information on the recruitment process
• provide an opportunity for people to come and try some of the physical aspects of recruitment process. Participation in the physical activities during the sessions is voluntary.

The session will give you a valuable insight into what to expect during the recruitment process and the chance to ask any questions. You do not have to have attended one of these events in order to apply once the application window opens.

Spaces are limited so if you are interested in attending, we encourage you to book a space as soon as possible. To register for one of the events please complete the relevant event registration form on our vacancy portal. 

Some the sessions are open to all and some are for under-represented groups. These are specifically designed to support those from underrepresented groups including women, people from diverse ethnic backgrounds and cultures, and the LGBT+ community.
