17:51 – Bishop Wood Tracks

Selby’s appliance were mobilised to reports of a campfire that had been left smouldering and unattended. Crews extinguished using a knapsack sprayer and wild fire tools.

19:31 – Dodsworth Avenue, York

York’s crew responded to a bin fire in a playing field. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish and dampen down the area.

20:35 – Calf Close, Haxby

York’s appliance were mobilised to a small fire in the open consisting of discarded rubbish, on crews arrival, the fire had been extinguished by members of the public. Advice was given to residents.

21:23 – Kildale

Crews from Stokesley and Danby were mobilised to reports of a fire in a wooded area, crews used one extending hose reel jet and wild fire tools to extinguish. This incident is still being monitored by crews to ensure no further hotspots.

00:34 – Ash Grove, Scarborough

One of Scarborough’s crews attended a property with two persons trapped inside an outbuilding due to failed locking mechanisms. Crews used a hooligan tool to release them unharmed.

Crews from Tadcaster, Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Northallerton attended automatic fire alarm activations throughout the night, these were all found to be false alarms.
