Incident Summary – Monday 6th July – Night Shift

Time: 19:09 Location: Cornlands Road, York

Crew from Acomb assisted a child who had climbed in to a baby swing and become stuck. Crew used small tools to dismantle the swing and release the child.

Time: 20:43  Location: Brend Lane, York

Crew from York were mobilised to a small fire in the woodland. Crews located a fire measuring approx 1m x 1m, this was extinguished using knapsack sprayers with the cause believed to be deliberate.

Time: 22:25 Location: Stokesley

Crew from Northallerton attended a property to assist ambulance colleagues lifting a casualty who had fallen and could not get back up. Crew power only used.

Time: 22:53 Location: Hob Moor Drive, York

Crew from Acomb were mobilised to reports of a tree on fire. Following a search of the area no fire could be located.

Time: 04:57 Location: Arran Place, York

Crew from York attended a fire to a moped that had been abandoned on a cycle path and believed to have been deliberately ignited. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

 

During the night crews from York and Acomb attended automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
