Time: 17:34  Location: The Green, Romanby

A crew from Northallerton responded to a fire alarm activation inside a residential property. On arrival, after investigation, this was found to be a false alarm due to defective equipment.

Time: 18:02  Location: Princess Road, Malton

A crew from Malton responded to a fire alarm activation inside a residential property. On arrival this was confirmed to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Time: 18:02  Location: Ripon Road, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm sounding and concerns within a residential building. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm with good intent and advice was given.

Time: 19:10  Location: High Street, Knaresborough

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate responded to an alarm sounding and a smell of smoke inside a residential property. On arrival after investigation this was found to be a false alarm due to burnt cooking.

Time: 19:45  Location: Yedingham

Crews from Helmsley and an argocat from Kirbymoorside responded to a fire sighted in a field. On arrival crews discovered a controlled burn under supervision and the argocat was stood down. Advice was given to the responsible person.

Time:  19:51  Location: Edgehill, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to smoke sighted in the area. After inspection, this was discovered as a BBQ under supervision. Advice was given and the BBQ was extinguished by the responsible person with bottles of water.

Time: 20:12  Location: Silver Street, Reeth

Reeth responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. The system had been reset prior to fire crews arrival but after inspection crews found no signs of smoke or fire.

Time: 20:43  Location: Settle

Bentham responded to flames sighted in the area. Crews located a fire in the open consisting of tyres which was unattended and they extinguished using a hose reel jet.

Time: 20:53  Location: A171, Ugthorpe

Lythe responded to a fire sighted from the A171. This was a controlled burn under supervision. Advice given.

Time: 22:09  Location: Gordon Street, Scarborough

Both Scarborough crews responded to smoke from an oven inside a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to cooking and crews cleared the property of smoke using natural ventilation.

Time: 23:15  Location: Kettlewell

Skipton responded to a fire sighted in the area. After inspection, this was confirmed as controlled burning under supervision. Advice given.

Time: 01:01  Location: Scarborough Road, Norton

A crew from Malton responded to a report of a fire. This was found to be a controlled burn and advice was given to the responsible person.
