Time: 07:02    Location: Catterick

Richmond responded to reports of a large plume of smoke. However after investigation this was confirmed as steam from a factory. False alarm good intent.

Time: 07:34    Location: Micklegate, York

York responded to an activated fire alarm. After inspection, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time: 09:01    Location: Dale Edge, Eastfield

Scarborough responded to a hedge on fire with a domestic garden. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.

Time: 09:31    Location: Cod Beck Reservoir

A crew responded to a reported camp fire in a wooded area. The fire was out on arrival and crews dampened down the area with knapsack sprayers.

Time: 09:50    Location: Sherburn in Elmet

Selby responded to an electrical pylon on fire in a field. Crews prevented further fire spread and awaited the arrival of the electrical board engineer. The electricity board isolated power and crews extinguished the fire using knapsack sprayers and beaters.

Scarborough responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. After inspection, this was false alarm caused by the testing of the system.

Skipton responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. This was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time:  10:40   Location: Near Dunslow Road, Eastfield

Scarborough and Filey responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All persons were out on their arrival. Crews assisted police with making the scene safe only. No injuries were reported at this incident.

A crew from Northallerton responded to a fire in the open measuring approximately 4m x 4m. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish.

Time: 11:39    Location: Stray ‘Rein, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a person starting a fire. On arrival no fire had been started and no fire service action was required.

Time: 12:29   Location: Haxby, York

A crew from York responded to a fire alarm activation inside a residential building. After inspection, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time: 13:20   Location: A6055 Scotch Corner

A crew from Richmond responded to a report of a car on fire which was out on arrival of the crew. Highways who were in attendance had extinguished the fire using a dry extinguisher and no further fire service action was required.

A crew from Thirsk alongside crews from Cleveland fire and rescue service and an argocat from Kirbymoorside responded to a fire on moorland. The fire was out on arrival but still smoldering. The fire measuring 5 x 3 metres was extinguished fully before crews left the incident.

A crew from Malton responded to a report of a fire in a field. On arrival, after investigation, this was found to be a false alarm with good intent due to dust from farming machinery.

Selby responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. After inspection, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time: 13:53    Location: A1 Northbound, Scotch Corner

Crews from Richmond, Ripon and an assisting appliance from Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service responded to a vehicle fire on the A1 Motorway which also spread to a nearby hedge and fence. Crews extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and dry extinguisher. Another crew located themselves off the A1 Motorway to extinguish the fire to the hedge. The incident was left with police and highways.

Acomb responded to a fire to some woodland close to a residential area. The fire measured 4 x 4 metres and was extinguished using a hose reel jet. The cause of the fire is believed deliberate.

Knaresborough responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. After inspection, this was confirmed a false alarm.

Time: 15:04    Location: Near Eppleby

Reeth responded to a stubble field fire which was out on their arrival as farmers had extinguished fire using their own water bowser. Crews checked for hotspots before leaving the incident.
