Incident Summary – 5th September 2026 – Dayshift

Time:  07:18   Location: Chantry Lane, York

York rescued a small deer that was trapped in metal railings. Crews used spreaders to release the deer that ran off uninjured.

Time:  07:54   Location: Burdyke Avenue, Acomb

Acomb assisted Ambulance with gaining entry to a property who were attempting to check on the welfare of the occupant.  Crews gained access via an open window using a triple extension ladder. The casualty was found and left in care of paramedics who required no further assistance.

Time: 09.48   Location:  Albemarle Crescent, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire alarm sounding alongside a small amount of smoke in the premises.  After inspecting the premises crews found no sign of smoke or fire and the cause of the activation was undetermined.

Time:  10.10  Location:  Lebberston, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request to assist carers with lifting a casualty after they had become trapped in their residence. Crews used crew power and made the casualty comfortable awaiting the arrival of Ambulance crews and then handed over their care.

Time: 13:01   Location: Delwood, York

Crew from York responded to a report of an automatic fire alarm in a residential premises. This was confirmed to be a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

Time: 14:53   Location: Catterick Road, Catterick Garrison

Richmond crew responded to a request to assist Ambulance extricate a casualty from a premises. Crews used crew power to lift the casualty onto the Ambulance and left them in the care of Paramedics.

Time: 16:08    Location: Langtoft

Crew from Scarborough and over the border appliance Driffield attended a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a vehicle. Crews assisted with scene safety and left the incident with Ambulance.
