Incident Summary – Saturday 5th September – Night shift

Time: 18:47  Location: Leathley

A crew from Harrogate responded to a fire sighted in the open. This was found to be four seats of fire measuring approximately 3m x 3m each and consisting of waste building materials. Crews used a hose reel jet to dampen down.

Time: 20:10  Location: York

A crew responded to a fire alarm activation inside a residential property. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Time: 21:03  Location: Peasholm Gap , Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a person that had accidentally become stuck in a bath tub. Crew power was used to lift the person, who was uninjured, from the bath.

A crew from Selby responded to a plume of smoke sighted. After inspection, this was confirmed as a controlled burn.

Time: 21:33  Location: Rufforth

A crew from Acomb responded to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 23:43  Location: Fossgate, York

York responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. After investigation was carried out with a thermal imaging camera, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

York responded to people stuck inside a lift. Lift keys were used to safely release the people.

Time: 03:17  Location: Ousegate, Selby

Crews assisted a person that had accidentally become locked outside their property. A triple extension ladder was used.

A crew from Settle responded to a plume of smoke sighted in the open. After investigation this was found to be controlled burning under supervision.
