Incident Summary – Day Shift – 14th September

08:49 – West Road, Filey

Crew from Filey responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding within a residential property. On crews arrival, this was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes. Advice was given to the occupiers.

09:59 – Wigginton Road, York

York’s appliance was mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential building. This was found to be a false alarm.

10:11 – Haxby Road, York

York’s crew responded to reports of flooding outside residential properties due to a burst water main. On crews arrival, advice was given and the incident was left with Yorkshire Water.

11:49 – Sheepfoot Hill, Malton

Crew from Malton assisted a member of the public who had a ring stuck on their finger. Ring cutter and small tools used to remove.

13:16 – Kirkby Lane, Sicklinghall

Harrogate’s appliance was mobilised to reports of an unattended fire in the open. This was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given to a responsible person.

14:28 – Main Street, Welburn

A crew from Malton responded to a report of a fire within a field near to a hedgerow, on arrival to area no fire was located. Crews carried out area search and then stood down.

16:33 – A19 Northbound, Skelton

Crew from Acomb were mobilised to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All persons were out on arrival and there was no requirement for the Fire Service. Crews left the incident with Police.
