Incident Summary – Wednesday 30th September – Day Shift

Time: 07:06   Location: Granby Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crew responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted with scene safety, using stabilizer blocks to make the vehicles safe. Incident left with Police and Ambulance.

Time: 10:10   Location: Avenue Terrace

Acomb crew responded to a report of flooding inside a residential property. This was caused by a bath that had overrun. Crews isolated the water and gas within the premises and left the incident with the occupier.

Time: 13:52   Location: Monk Gardens Lane, Helmsley

Helmsley crew were mobilized to a report of a fire in the open. This was confirmed to be a controlled burn under supervision.

Time: 14:18  Location: Zetland Terrace, Low Laithe

An officer attended a late fire call where a battery from an E bike had caught fire and been extinguished by the occupier. Officer established there was no further heat source and the battery was safe to be left in situ.

Time: 15:31  Location: Bramham Road, York

Easingwold crew responded to reports of a fire in the back garden of a property, this was a fire to a garden shed and a greenhouse. This was caused by an incinerator left unsupervised, crews used 1 hose reel jet, 1 breathing apparatus and 1 fire rake to extinguish.

Time: 16:04   Location: Kingston Drive, Norton

A crew from Malton responded to an occupant that had fallen within a residential premises. Crews used crew power to lift them back up safely and left them in the care of a family member.

Time: 16:10  Location: Brookside, Skipton

Skipton crew were mobilized to a two vehicle road traffic collision, no fire service action was required as the vehicles had been moved by Police prior to arrival and no persons were trapped.

Time: 16:22   Location: Reid Close, Ingleton

Bentham crew responded to a request from Ambulance to assist gain entry to a residential premises. **This incident is still ongoing at time of publish**

Time: 16:48   Location: Station Parade, Harrogate

Harrogate crew were mobilized to a report of a persons trapped within a lift. Crews used lift keys to release persons trapped safely.
