Incident Summary – Day Shift – 1st November 2026

Time: 11:47   Location:  Westmoreland Street, Skipton 

Skipton crew were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a property.   On arrival of crews was found to be a false alarm.

Time:   12:53 Location: Minerva Court, Langthorpe 

Ripon crews responded on request of Ambulance where a gas stove had been on for a number of hours after the occupant had fallen. Crews isolated the gas and checked the property and left the casualty in hands of Ambulance.

Time: 13:20   Location:  Clifton Bridge, Water End

Acomb crew were mobilised to reports of smoke seen nearby. On arrival of crews was found to be a petrol scooter on fire, crews extinguished using knapsack sprayers and small tools. Believed to be deliberate and left in the hands of the Police on scene.

Time: 13:31  Location: Forestgate, Haxby 

York crew were mobilised to reports of  a boiler leak that as leaked into the smoke alarms. Crews isolated the electrics from the smoke alarms and advice was given to occupant.

Time:  14:44  Location:  Goathland, Whitby

Whitby crews were mobilised to reports of smoke and flames coming from a nearby chimney. On arrival of crews was found to be a false alarm due to damp wood burning.

Time: 14:49  Location:  Londonderry Village, Londonderry

Bedale and Ripon crews were mobilised to reports of smoke coming from an electric hob. On arrival of crews no sign of smoke or fire. Advice given to homeowners.
