Incident Summary – Wednesday 24th December – Night Shift
17:06 – Ripon Road, Harrogate
Crews from Harrogate responded to persons stuck in a lift carriage. They were all safely released by the crews using small tools. The lift was isolated and advice was given.
17:36 – South Parade, Northallerton
Crews from Northallerton responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. This resulted in a false alarm.
22:10 – Lythe, Whitby
Crews from Lythe were requested by the Ambulance service to assist with gaining entry. This was no longer required upon our arrival.
22:32 – James Street, York
Crews from York responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial premises. This resulted in a false alarm.
22:40 – Dam Lane, Thorpe Willoughby
Crews from Selby responded reports of a fire in a field. This resulted in a straw stack fire measuring 15m by 15m. The fire posed no risk to spreading and was monitored to ensure it could burn out safely.
00:20 – Chapel Street, Hambleton
Crews from Selby assisted paramedics to gain entry into a property.
01.26 – Neville Crescent, Gargrave
Crews from Skipton, Grassington and Earby responded to a report of a fire to the kitchen of a residential property. Crews used 4 Breathing Apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and the thermal imaging camera to check for hot spots.
