Incident Summary – 30th December 2025 – Day Shift

Time: 07.49   Location: Aviation Road, Sherburn In Elmet 

Tadcaster crew responded one car fire following a road traffic collision, all persons were out of the vehicles upon crews arrival. Crews used one hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera to extinguish it and made vehicle was made safe. Crews left the incident with the police present on scene.

Time: 09.55   Location: Ripon

Crews from Ripon responded to an individual stuck in a lift carriage, crews opened the lift doors to release the individual and advised the responsible person to contact a lift engineer.

Time: 11.39    Location: Windmill Rise, Tadcaster

Tadcaster crew assisted police with a safeguarding visit, clothes had be burnt after they were left on a heater, crews made the property safe and advise was given.

Time: 12.54   Location: Kildale

Stokesley crew responded to reports of a fire on moorland, upon investigation it was found to be smoking from yesterdays controlled burn. Crews used small tools to fully extinguish.

Time: 16.05   Location: West Bank, Carlton

Crews from Selby along with our colleagues from Humberside responded to reports of a fire in a conservatory, upon arrival the fire was already out, crews used thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots within the property.

Crews from Selby, Ripon and Acomb responded to automatic fire alarm activations, after investigation these were found to be false alarms and advice was given to the responsible person present.
