Time: 18:22   Location: Scruton

Northallerton responded to reports of a fire in the open reported by a passing driver on the A684. After inspection, crews discovered this to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given to the responsible person.

Time: 18:58   Location: South Milford

Tadcaster and Pontefract responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. No sign of smoke or fire was present on arrival. Crews conducted an inspection and discovered the cause of the alarm activation was due to aerosols. Advice was given to the responsible person on site.

Time:  19:27  Location: Kirkgate, Sherburn in Elmet

Tadcaster were requested to assist ambulance crews with gaining entry to a property after the occupant had fallen inside. Crews arrived on scene to gain access however found a family member already in attendance with a key to the property who had allowed paramedics entry. Fire crews liaised with Paramedics to see if they were required to assist any further before leaving the incident in their hands.

Both Harrogate crews alongside Harrogate’s Ariel Ladder Platform appliance responded to reports of large amounts of smoke seen coming from the chimney of a tall building. On arrival, it was discovered the smoke was from an external chiminea on the balcony of a property which was issuing smoke over the Market Place. Crews gave advice to the occupier who had the fire under control.

Acomb responded to a pile of rubbish measuring 0.5 x 0.5 metres on fire. The cause of the fire is believed to had been deliberate and it was extinguished using knapsack sprayers. Incident was left with police informed.

Time: 22:27   Location: Davygate, York

York mobilised to an activated fire alarm inside a retail building. On arrival, no signs of fire were evident and a thermal scan of the building was carried out using a thermal imaging camera, confirming this as a false alarm.

Time: 23:35   Location: Park Street, York

York and Acomb responded to the smell of burning inside a domestic property. After inspection, crews found no sign of smoke or fire in the property and advice was given to the occupant.

Scarborough responded an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. This was confirmed as a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Time: 00:09   Location: Field Lane, Scarborough

Scarborough responded to a small fire in a field left unattended. Crews extinguished the fire using a bucket of water and small tools. The cause is believed to had been deliberate.

Time:  00:22  Location: Cheery Avenue, Malton

Malton responded to a small building measuring 3 x 5 metres well alight and containing garden products and furniture. Crews wearing breathing apparatus for comfort extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet. After crews dampened down hotspots, advice was given to the owners of building.

A crew from Stokesley responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm caused by vaping.

Selby responded to a smoke alarm activation inside a domestic property. After inspection, it was discovered that the smoke alarm had a low battery and advice was given to the occupant.
