York responded to a domestic smoke alarm activation. External inspection carried out with no signs of fire. Unable to gain access due to owner travelling back home with an ETA of 5/6 hours.
10:29 – Piccadilly, York
York responded to a fire alarm activation which was found to have been due to a deliberate activation of the fire alarm to free a person who had become trapped in a lift. Advice given.
10:29 – Northcote Avenue, York
Acomb fire crew responded to a request from Paramedics to gain entry for a casualty within. On arrival entry had been gained. Fire crew provided crew power to assist Paramedics in moving casualty to ambulance for transportation to hospital.
12:10 – Quarry near A174, Lythe
Lythe crew used beaters and backpack sprayers to extinguish a gorse fire of approx 5x5m in a disused quarry.
14:23 – Fishergate, York
York responded to a fire alarm activation which was found to have been caused due to cooking fumes.
14:30 – Lawrence Street, York
York responded to a fire alarm activation which was found to have been caused due to steam from shower.
16:36 – Town End Close, Crosshills
Skipton crew responded to a two persons trapped in a lift.
