Incident Summary – 26th December 2025, Night shift

18:44 – Keighley Road, Skipton 

A crew from Skipton responded to a report of a fire in a residential property. Crews found a fire to a plastic food container that had been left on a hob was out on their arrival. Crews checked for further fire spread and ventilated the property. The occupant of the property was left in the care of ambulance crews receiving precautionary checks.

20:39 – Broadacres, Carlton 

A crew from Selby responded to a report of fire in a residential property. On arrival crews found that the fire, caused by a heater that was too close to furniture, was out. Crews carried out an inspection and gave advice to the occupier.

23:37 – Claro Road, Harrogate 

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of an alarm activation in a commercial premises. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause.

00:43 – Pickering Road, West Ayton 

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire in the garden of a property. Crews extinguished the fire to a small bin and dampened down the area using 1 hose reel.

05:02 – Dunslow Road, Eastfield

Scarborough, Filey and Robin Hood’s Bay appliances responded to a compost fire of approx 30 x 40m. Hose reels used to extinguish.
