Incident Summary – 28th December- Night Shift
17:49 – Wilsill
Crews from Lofthouse and Harrogate were mobilised to an incident involving a shed fire at the rear of a property. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire as well as lighting and 1 breathing apparatus.
18:23 – Balfour street, York
Crews from Acomb attended an incident involving a small fire in the open that consisted of cardboard. Crews used 2 knapsack sprayers to extinguish the fire.
18:33 – Ripon Road, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate were mobilised to an incident involving 4 people trapped in a lift. The people were out on crews arrival and no action from the fire service was needed.
18:47 – Cromwell Road, York
York’s crew attended an incident involving an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. After inspection, this was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
19:06 – Doncaster Road, Selby
Crews from Selby were mobilised to an incident involving a house fire. On crews arrival this was found to be a false alarm.
02:41 – Scalby Road, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough attended a residential property with an automatic fire alarm sounding. After investigating, this was found to be a false alarm due to a possible system fault.
03:59 – Constantine Avenue, Colburn
Richmond’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with a difficult extrication of a patient. Crews were able to get the patient into the road ambulance and left the incident with paramedics.
04:19 – Fairfield Way, Whitby
A crew from Whitby were mobilised to an incident with an automatic fire alarm sounding at a commercial property. Following a full search of the property, this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
