Incident Summary – 1st January 2026 Day Shift

Time:  12:11  Location:  Longwestgate, Scarborough 

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request from ambulance crews to assist with moving a casualty from a residential property to the awaiting ambulance. Crews used crew power to move the casualty to the ambulance and left them in the care of ambulance crews.

Time:  12:36  Location:  North Terrace, Whitby

Crews from Whitby and Scarborough responded to a request from the coastguard to assist with the rescue of a casualty who had become stranded on rocks at the foot of a cliff. Crews liaised with and assisted coastguard teams to access the casualty before bringing them to safety. The casualty was left in the care of ambulance crews.

Time:  14:04  St Peters Grove, York 

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an unknown cause. Advice was given to a responsible person.

Time:  15:23  Location:  Bagdale, Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to a report of a vehicle smoking. On arrival, crews found not sign of fire and assisted to move the vehicle to a safer location. The incident was left with the owner awaiting recovery.

Time:  16:47  Location:  Scalby Road, Scarborough 

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a chimney fire in a residential property. Crews carried out an inspection and found this to be a false alarm. Advice was given to a responsible person.
