Incident Summary – Day shift, Saturday 20th June
Time: 0939 Location: Bedale
Bedale crew attended the centre of town to investigate a report of smoke issuing from a vehicle. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a clutch issue. Advice given.
Time: 1046 Location: Brompton on Swale area
Richmond crew assisted in gaining entry to a vehicle after it had been locked with keys accidently left inside. Young child and dog safely released from vehicle and reunited with parents, no injuries.
Time: 1054 Location: Upper Poppleton
Acomb crew attended the area following a report of a fire in the open. Crews extinguished a fire involving approximately 40 sqm of tree waste, using a hose reel jet.
Time: 1055 Location: Draughton
Skipton crew assisted at a single vehicle road traffic collision. All persons out of vehicle on arrival of fire and rescue crew. Police were in attendance. Crew administered general first aid to one occupant, until arrival of ambulance paramedics when they were left in their care.
Time: 1150 Location: Ripon area
Ripon crew attended an automatic fire alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.
Time: 1426 Location: Normanby area
Whitby attended to investigate a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be controlled burning under supervision. Advice given.
