Time: 08.15 Location: East Heslerton
Sherburn crew responded to reports of smoke sighted near a field. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn, crews extinguished using one hose reel jet.
Time: 09.33 Location: Finkle Hill, Sherburn In Elmet
Crews from Tadcaster, Acomb, Garforth and Castleford (West Yorkshire Fire Service) responded to a fire in a property. Crews used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to extinguish.
Time: 10.30 Location: Victoria Road, Scarborough
Crews from Sherburn responded to to assist ambulance extricate a patient from a property. Crews used crew power and ambulance equipment to assist.
Time: 10.41 Location: Catterick Lane, Catterick Village
Crews from Richmond went to investigate a sighting of smoke, on arrival they confirmed this to be a false alarm due to controlled burning. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
Time: 11.28 Location: Weeland Road, Eggborough
Crews from Selby and Pontefract (West Yorkshire fire) responded to reports that a control burn had spread. On arrival crews found the fire had spread to a shed, fence and bushes. Crews used a hose reel jet and pitchfork to extinguish.
Time: 12.18 Location: Ancress Walk, York
York crews responded to reports of a fire in the rear of a property. On arrival crews found an unsafe burn and extinguished using a hose reel jet.
Time: 13.41 Location: Station Road, Kildale
Crews from Stokesley responded to inspect a control burn that was at risk of reigniting. Crews used knapsack sprayers to dampen down and ensure it was extinguished.
