07:11 – Broxa, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough located a campfire in the woodland. Crews gave advice only.

08:13 – Station Lane, Shipton By Beningborough

A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a fire in the open, measuring 3m by 2m, consisting of wood and other commercial waste. The fire was unattended. Crews gained access to the area where the fire was using a triple extension ladder, and extinguished the fire using small tools and a hose reel jet.

08:14 – Crooklands Lane, Haxby

A crew from Huntington responded to reports of a wooden footbridge on fire. Crews extinguished the fire using a knapsack sprayer, and cordoned off the bridge. The cause was deliberate and police were informed.

09:34 – Royal Crescent, Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to a fire alarm sounding in a residential property. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

11:22 –  Bridge Street, York

Crews from Huntington and Acomb responded to reports of a person on the bridge. Crews stood by with downstream safety in place. The person on the bridge was left in the care of police.

11:27 – West Lane, Stillington

Crews from Easingwold and Thirsk responded to reports of a baler on fire. On arrival, the bale had been removed from the baler. Crews used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to deal with the incident.

11:41 – Wykeham Forest

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire measuring 5m by 5m. On arrival crews found a fire measuring 20m by 20m in the forest, and requested additional resources from Robin Hoods Bay, Sherburn, Pickering, Filey, alongside a water bowser from Tadcaster an argocat from Kirkbymoorside and a welfare unit from Thirsk. This incident is currently ongoing.

11:42 – A59 Bolton Bridge

A crew from Skipton responded to reports of a BBQ on open land. Crews investigated only.

11:58 – Regent Drive, Skipton

A crew from Skipton responded to reports of a bonfire in a back garden. This was a controlled burn under supervision.

12:57 – Highgate Cottages to Highgate Bridge, Gargrave

A crew from Skipton responded to reports of a small fire in the open, left unattended. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish and a thermal imaging camera to investigate. The cause was unknown.

13:32 – Suffield

A crew from Whitby, responded to reports of smoke sighted in Suffield. Crews requested a further two appliances, from Helmsley and Lythe to assist with a fire to standing crops measuring 100m by 100m. Crews used 02 hose reel jets, beaters and knapsack sprayers to extinguish the fire.

13:50 – Low Street, South Milford

Crews from Harrogate and Tadcaster, assisted by West Yorkshire crews from Garforth and Pontefract, responded to reports of a fire in the kitchen of a commercial premises with a residential aspect. All persons were out on arrival of crews. The fire originated in the fryers. Crews used 02 breathing apparatus, 01 hose reel jet, foam extinguishers and a positive pressure ventilation fan to deal with the incident. Three people recieved precautionary checks on scene from the ambulance service.

14:10 – Stockwell Road, Knaresborough

A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

14:14 – Harrogate Road, Spofforth

A crew from Knaresborough, assisted by a West Yorkshire crew from Wetherby, responded to reports of a two vehicle road traffic collision. This was a single vehicle, which had crashed into a field. One person was medically trapped and released from the vehicle by crews, using an ambulance longboard. Crews assisted with scene safety and the ambulance service. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital via road ambulance.

15:51 – Tower Street, York

A crew from Easingwold responded to reports of a grass fire, measuring 10m by 10m. Crews used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots. The cause was believed to be deliberate. Police were informed.

16:24 – Barton le Willows 

Crews from Huntington, York and an argocat from Kirkbymoorside, responded to reports of a standing crop fire, measuring 40m by 6m. Crews used a hose reel jet and beaters to extinguish the fire. This incident is currently ongoing.

16:37 – Skipton Road, Harrogate

A person self presented on station requiring a ring removal. Crews removed the ring from the persons finger.

16:50 – Riverside Road, Richmond

A crew from Reeth responded to reports of concerns for bbqs in the open. This incident is ongoing.

16:53 – Scarborough

Crews from Malton and Thirsk responded to reports of smoke issuing from the floorboards. This incident is ongoing.

17:04 – West Bank, Carleton

Crews from Selby and Snaith (Humberside) responded to reports of a fire in the open. This incident is ongoing.
