17:30 Alquin Avenue, York

Acomb crew responded to investigate a small fire in a park. On arrival crew confirmed the fire was out, a member of the public had extinguished it.

17:45 Norwich Drive, Harrogate

Harrogate crews were mobilised to a fire in domestic property. Crew confirmed this was a bedroom fire and all residents of property were out and safe. Crew extinguished fire using hose reel and breathing apparatus

17:49 Richardson Street, York

Acomb crews assisted with a vehicle leaking fuel onto roadway. Crew used drizzit pads and soil to make the area and vehicle safe.

18:19 Sutton Lane, Byram

Calls were received reporting of an unattended fire in a field. Selby and Tadcaster crews proceeded to investigate, they confirmed a fire in field involving brash and small bushed measuring 100m x 5m. Crews used hose reels, knapsack sprayers and beaters. .

18:20 Kirby Sigston

Stokesley and Thirsk crews were mobilised to a farm due to a bailer and stubble field fire. Crew confirmed a baler was well alight and approx 30 sqm of stubble affected by fire. Crews extinguished the fire using hose reels and breathing apparatus

19:26 Hirst Courtney, Selby

Selby crews responded to a large pile of branches well alight in a field unattended. Crews used a hose reel to extinguish.

20:32  Bishopdyke Road, Cawood

Crew from Acomb responded to investigate reports of smoke sighted in the open. After inspection crews confirmed this was a controlled burn under supervision.

20:36 The Crescent, Selby

Selby crews assisted Ambulance crew with gaining entry to a domestic property due to concerns for the resident. Access was gained and incident was left with Paramedics.

21:03 South Cliff Gardens, Esplanade, Scarborough

Scarborough crews responded to investigate reports of a small fire sighted in some gardens. This was a small fire that had been left unattended but a member of the public had stamped it out prior to arrival of Fire crew. Crew used a bucket of water to dampen down.

21:10 Ouseburn Avenue, York

Acomb crews were mobilised to investigate a small fire sighted in rear garden. Crew confirmed this was a small fire in garden brazier under supervision. No action was taken.

22:45 Dalby Court, Harrogate

Crew from Harrogate were mobilised to reports of smoking issuing from a light fitting. This was found to be a false alarm caused by a blown light bulb.

23:30 Skipton

Crew from Skipton responded to reports of youths having a bonfire on some grassland. Full search of area carried out but no incident could be located.

Various automatic smoke alarm activations were investigated by crews from York and Scarborough. All were confirmed to be false alarms
