Incident Summary – Day shift, Friday 7th August
Time: 0846 Location: Hutton Rudby
Stokesley attended a fire in the open. Crew extinguished the fire using 2 hose reel jets. This was believed to be fly tipping, Police informed.
Time: 0919 Location: Harrogate
Harrogate crew attended a building and released one occupant from a defective lift. Lift keys used, occupant released safely, without injury.
Time: 0925 Location: Skipton
Skipton crew attended an area in the open following a report of a fire. Fire confirmed out on arrival of crew. Inspection only, advice given to responsible persons on site.
Time: 1043 Location: Osbaldwick
Acomb crew attended a domestic property to assist a person fallen inside. Crew power used to assist occupier from the floor. Advice given.
Time: 1158 Location: Knaresborough
Knaresborough crew attended an alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.
Time: 1220 Location: A64 Westbound, Barton Hill area
Malton, York and Acomb crews attended a two vehicle road traffic collision with two people trapped. Fire and Rescue crews worked with hydraulic cutting equipment to assist in releasing of both casualties from the vehicle. Casualties left in care of paramedics. Incident left with Police.
Time: 1244 Location: Kirby Sigston
Northallerton crew attended and extinguished a fire within a manure heap. Crew used two hose reel jets. The incident has been left open for a revisit for checks tomorrow morning.
Time: 1511 Location: Gayles
Richmond crew attended a fire in the open. This was a bonfire which had spread to a nearby field. Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets and beaters. Advice given.
Time: 1604 Location: Lunds
Hawes crew, along with Sedburgh from North West fire service attended and extinguished a fire involving a farm machinery vehicle. One hose reel jet used to extinguish. Thermal image camera used for checks. Advice given to responsible persons on site.
Time: 1608 Location: Water Lane, York
Crew attended following a report of a fire in the open. On arrival, crew confirmed a small grass fire had occurred but was now out. Crews used a backspack sprayer to damp down the area. Crew then discovered a further fire in the open within the vicinity, consisting of wood and tree branches, crews used two further backpack sprayers to extinguish.
Time: 1625 Location: Water Lane, York
A further crew attended a separate area of Water Lane following a report of a further fire in the open. Crew confirmed a fire involving approximately 200 sqm of grassland. One hose reel and beaters used to extinguish. Police also attended the area.
Time: 1649 Location: Old Malton
Crew in attendance at an area in the open close to river following a report of a fire in the open. Crews are still investigating, no fire located at this time.
Time: 1654 Location: Byram
Selby crew attended an alarm activation. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm.
