Incident Summary -Sunday 9th August – Day Shift
Time: 08:21 Location: St Johns Grove, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a person that had fallen inside a residential property and was trapped behind a door. Crews used a triple extension ladder and small tools to gain entry and the person was left in the care of carers.
Time: 09:28 Location: Allerston
A crew from Pickering responded to a report of a fire sighted in woodland. This was a fire measuring approximately 1m x 1m and was out on arrival. Crews dampened down the area.
Time: 11:34 Location: Faceby
A crew from Northallerton responded to a fire sighted in woodland. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.
Time: 11:43 Location: Church Square, Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a request from the Police to gain entry to a property on behalf of the Ambulance service. Entry was gained via an unlocked door and the incident was left in the hands of the Ambulance service.

A crew from Northallerton responded to a report of smouldering grassland. Crews requested an argocat from Leyburn. This incident is ongoing at the time of publication.

Crews from Scarborough, Malton, Pickering, Whitby, Driffield and Bridlington, alongside the water bowser from Tadcaster, and the argocat from Kirkbymoorside responded to reports of a stubble field fire measuring approximately 100m by 1000m. This incident is ongoing at the time of publication.

A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of a person who had fallen in their property. They were uninjured, but unable to get up. Crews lifted person back up to a chair.

A crew from Bedale responded to reports of a toddler with their head stuck in railings of a stair case. The toddler had self rescued on arrival.

A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of a fire alarm sounding in a residential premises. This was a false alarm caused by aerosols.

A crew from Selby responded to reports of a fire in the open. Crews requested an extra 2 appliances from Selby and Castleford to assist with 10 vehicles on fire in woodland. Crews extinguished the fire and the incident was left with the police.

A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of a bonfire in a woodland. This was a fire measuring 3m x 3m. Crews extinguished the fire using four knapsack sprayers. Advice was given.

A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of a baby accidentally locked in a car. Crews stood by preparing to gain entry, before a second keyholder arrived and released the baby, unharmed, from the vehicle.
