Incident Summary – Day Shift 30th August

Time:   07:26    Location:  Roecliffe

Knaresborough crew were mobilised to a person locked out of a campervan, concerns were for a gas kettle left on the hob with a pet also locked inside. Crews gained access using glass breaker and pack x to gain entry. Kettle was removed from hob and window secured with pack x. No further action required.

Time:  10:39     Location:   Filey Road, Scarborough 

Scarborough crew attended an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. On arrival of crews was found to be a false alarm due to fault on system.

Time:   10:59    Location:  Grazer Close, Thorpe Willoughby

Selby crew were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a property. On arrival of crews was found to be a false alarm.

Time:  11:00     Location:  Station Road, Thirsk 

Northallerton crew were mobilised to a door stuck at a first floor flat. Concerns for occupier inside. Crews gained access to flat through first floor window using short extension ladder. Crews fixed door to allow exit of occupant.

Acomb and York Crew were mobilised to a car on fire on the A64. Crews used a hose reel Jet and thermal imaging camera breathing apparatus and small tools to extinguish. Police were also on scene for traffic management.

Time:   12:25    Location:  Chaucer Green, Harrogate 

Harrogate crew were requested to assist ambulance with extraction of a casualty. Crews used crew power and stretcher to extricate casualty and leave in the hands of the paramedics on scene.

Whitby crew were mobilised to smoke sighted in the open. No sign of smoke or fire found. No action required from crews.

Time:  13:39     Location:  Little Ings Lane, Aldborough

Ripon crew were mobilised to fire sighted in the open. On arrival of crews was found to be a small pile of hay that was out on arrival measuring approximately 2x2m. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to dampen down area.

Time:   14:20    Location:  Great Ayton 

Northallerton crew were mobilised to a fire sighed in the open. On arrival of crews was found to be a campfire that was out on arrival. Crews used backpack sprayers to soak down area.

Time:   14:37    Location:  North Marine Road, Scarborough 

Scarborough crews attended a male that had fallen in the street. Crews helped get the casualty back into a wheelchair using crew power and helped back to his home.

Time:    14:41   Location:  Leeming Lane North, Catterick 

Richmond crew were mobilised to smoke sighted in the open. On arrival of crews was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice given to responsible person on scene and no action required from crew.

Time: 15:31      Location:  Scarborough Road, Norton

Malton crew were requested to assist with the extrication of a casualty by the ambulance service. On arrival of crews ambulance required no further assistance from crew.

Time:   15:56    Location:  Woodhouse Farm, Great Ayton

Northallerton crew were mobilised to a bush fire near a railway line. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and dampen down area.

Time:  15:57    Location:  Boundary Avenue, Skipton 

Skipton Crews were mobilised to a automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. On arrival was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Time:     16:15  Location: Velley Mount, Harrogate

Harrogate crew were  mobilised to reports of persons trapped inside a bedroom. Crews used small tools to access the bedroom and release occupants.
