Incident Summary – Day Shift – 31st August
09:33 – Gilling East
Crews from Helmsley were requested by ambulance to assist with the difficult extrication of a patient from their property. Crews used crew power to carry them into the road ambulance where they were then taken to hospital by paramedics.
11:02 – Greendale Court, Bedale
Bedale’s pump were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property, this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault.
11:32 – Ebberston
Scarborough’s crew responded to a report of a large plume of smoke that had been spotted in the area. On inspection this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision with adequate extinguishing media nearby. Crews gave advice to the responsible person.
12:02 – Bad Bargain Lane, Heworth
York’s appliance were mobilised to reports of smoke in a residential area, crews investigated and this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given to the responsible person.
12:39 – Kingsthorpe, York
York’s crew responded to reports of a casualty that had fallen within their property and had sustained a possible head injury. Crews gained entry to the premises using an entry kit and crew power to move the casualty into a comfortable position, the incident was then handed over to a first responder on scene.
14:05 – Skeldergate, York
York’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property, this was found to be a false alarm on arrival.
14:45 – Grosvenor Crescent, Scarborough
Scarborough’s appliance was mobilised to flooding inside a residential property due to heavy rainfall. Crews checked electrics and gave advice to the occupier.
