Incident Summary – Day Shift 20th September
Time: 08.01 Location: Leathley Lane, Leathley
Crews from Harrogate responded to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision where a car had collided with a tree and ended on its side. One of the vehicles occupants was out on arrival of the crews. The crews stabilised the vehicle and used a reciprocating saw and edraulic cutters to perform a roof fold down to extricate the other occupant.
Time: 11.49 Location: Priory Villas, Richmond
A crew from Richmond responded to a report of a fire in some trees. Crews located an unattended camp fire and extinguished using 2 backpack sprayers. Police were informed due to the cause being deliberate.
Time: 12.06 Location: Finkle Hill, Sherburn in Elmet
A crew from Tadcaster responded to a report of a fire to a tree spreading to a hedgerow. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Time: 13.05 Location: Foxholes
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire to a car. The fire caused 100% fire damage to the vehicle. Crews used 1 Breathing Apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the and dampen down the area. The vehicle was left with its owner to arrange recovery.

A crew from Selby responded to a report of a fire in a nature reserve. On arrival the crews located a fire measuring 4m x 4m. Crews used knapsack sprayers and wildfire tools to extinguish the fire. Police were informed due to the cause being believed to be deliberate.
Time: 14.51 Location: Barrowcliffe, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire to a bush in a play park. On arrival the crews located a fire measuring 1m x 3m and extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet.
Time: 15.28 Location: Catterick Garrison
A crew from Richmond responded to a report of a property flooding due to a burst water supply to the property. Crews attempted to stop the water supply to the property until an external contractor arrived to isolate the water externally.
Time: 15.31 Location: Lower Dunsforth
Crews from Ripon, Acomb, Harrogate (x2), Tadcaster, Easingwold and Thirsk responded to a fire to a barn. This incident is ongoing at time of publication.
Crews from York (x2) also attended automatic fire alarm activations. After inspection these were found to be false alarms.
