Incident Summary – 1st October 2026 – Day Shift
Time: 09:01 Location: St Cuthberts Green, Barton
Richmond crew were mobilised to a fire alarm sounding in a residential property. On arrival of crews was found to be a false alarm due to burnt cooking. Advice given and no further action required.
Time: 11:22 Location: A66, Scotch Corner
Richmond and a Darlington appliance attended a multiple car road traffic collision involving 3 vehicles with reports of persons trapped. Police, Ambulance and Highways on scene also. On arrival, 5 vehicles were found to have been involved, 3 with minor vehicle damage and no injuries to occupants. Of the two vehicles initially involved, one a Peugeot van and the other a Range Rover, both occupants in the van were initially treat by Fire crew for their injuries, then walked from the vehicle and left in care of paramedics for transportation to hospital. A child in the Range Rover was also treat at scene by paramedics. Fire crews made the vehicles safe and left the incident with Police and Ambulance.

Stokesley fire appliance and the Kirkbymoorside Argocat all terrain vehicle were mobilised to a fire sighted in the open. Crews used 2 backpack sprayers, wildfire tools and the argocat to extinguish the fire. Cause believed accidental.

Acomb crew were mobilised to a vehicle on fire. Crews used 2 hose reel jets and 1 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Crews left vehicle with responsible person to arrange recovery.

Whitby crew were mobilised to a fire in the open. On arrival of crew was found to be a small fire in a field. Crews used knapsack sprayers and wildfire tools to extinguish the fire.

Filey crew were mobilised to assist ambulance with the extrication of a casualty from a premises. Crews used 1 long board and crew power to extricate casualty and left in care of ambulance crew.

Scarborough and Lythe crews were mobilised to a fire to a shed. Crews used hose reel jet and small tools to extinguish the fire. Cause believed accidental.

Both Harrogate crews and Ripon crew were mobilised to a industrial fire. This incident is currently ongoing.
