Incident Summary 4th May – Night Shift

Time: 18:21  Location: Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough responded to reports of smoke seen coming from a wooden kiosk. On arrival this was found to be a small fire to a pile of rubbish. Extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

Time: 19:48  Location: Morton On Swale

Crew from Northallerton responded to reports of a car on fire. Crew used breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish. The fire started in the engine compartment and caused 100% fire damage to the vehicle.

Time: 20:28  Location: Helmsley

Crew from Helmsley attended a fire to a hedge measuring approx 2 x 6 metres. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish and dampen down.

Time: 21:44  Location: Kildale

Crew from Danby responded to reports of a car on fire. Crews extinguished fire using 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reels.

Time: 22:50  Location: Skelton On Ure 

Crews from Ripon responded to a smell of smoke in a residential property. This was a fire in a bedroom consisting of 2 candles.

Time: 03:13  Location: Scalby Road, Scarborough

Crew were mobilised to a report of a vehicle on fire on a flat bed truck. This was car fire, extinguished using 1 hose reel.

Time: 04:05  Location: Northallerton

Crew from Northallerton assisted paramedics gaining entry to a premises due to concerns for the occupant. Crew used  9 metre ladder to gain access via a first floor window. Occupant then left in care of paramedics.

Time: 04:17  Location: York

Crew from York assisted paramedics with a difficult extrication of a casualty from a property. Crew power used to lift casualty to waiting ambulance.

 

Appliances from Acomb, Scarborough attended incidents involving automatic fire alarms across county. These were all found to be false alarms.
