19:41 Raincliffe Street Selby

Crew from Selby responded to a report of a domestic property full of black smoke. Crews investigated and confirmed a small fire had occurred. The fire is believed to have been caused by radiated heat from a log burner. The fire was minor and was out on arrival of crews. The property was smoke logged so crew ventilated using a ventilation fan and gave advice to the resident.

20:33 Bryony Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crews attended a minor fire in a domestic property. Fire involved burnt food and some minor fire damage to a kitchen wall. The fire was out on their arrival. Crew fit new smoke alarms and advised the occupant.

20:59 Castlegate, Helmsley

Helmsley crews responded to a fire started in the open. Teenagers were reported to have caused the fire. When crew arrived the small fire had burnt out.

21:47 A64 East near Fulford A19 turnoff

Acomb and York crews were mobilised to a single vehicle road traffic collision. Car is believed to have skidded over onto its side. On arrival crew confirmed four occupants in the car were all out on arrival and had no injuries. Paramedics on scene checked them over as a precaution. Incident was left in the hands of Police. No service by Fire crew required.

21:55 Salisbury Street, Skipton

Skipton crew responded to investigate a strong smell of burning in a domestic property. Crew confirmed there was no fire, the electrical supply had incurred fault and caused a power cut to the property. Crew used a thermal imaging camera and gave advice. Northern Power requested to attend.

23:04 Field at rear of Bellfarm Avenue, York

York crews were mobilised to investigate a report of a fire sighted unattended in a field. Crew used buckets of water to extinguish the fire which was suspected to be a small camp fire left unsupervised.

02:27 Middleham

Crews from Leyburn and Masham were mobilised to a report of a smoke alarm sounding in a property alongside a smell of burning. Crews used a triple extension ladder to access the premises and found a pan had been left on a hob which had set the alarms off. The crew assisted with naturally ventilating the property and gave advice to a responsible person.

Automatic fire alarms activated in Scarborough, Colburn, Malton and Thirsk. All were investigated by local crews and confirmed to be false alarms.
