Incident Summary – Night Shift – 15th June 2026

18:13 – St Nicholas Street, Scarborough

Scarborough’s appliance attended to assist with two persons trapped in a lift. Crews used lift keys to release them uninjured.

22:21 – Edgehill Road, Scarborough

Scarborough’s crew responded to reports of a fire in a wooded area. This was found to be a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision. Crews gave advice and left incident with a responsible person.

23:02 – A64

Acomb and Tadcaster attended following a request from police to assist with scene safety following a road traffic collision. Crews made vehicles safe using lighting and drizzit pads to soak up a petrol leak. The incident was left with police.

04:17 – Harrogate

Harrogate crew attended a domestic property following a request from ambulance to assist in gaining entry. However, on arrival, fire service crew confirmed they were no longer required. Incident left with ambulance.

 

Crews from Malton, Knaresborough and Acomb attended automatic fire alarm activations throughout the evening. These were all confirmed to be false alarms.
