Incident Summary – 3rd September 2026, Thursday Dayshift

Time:  08:50  Location: Summerbridge

A crew from Harrogate responded to a truck that had become wedged under the trailer of a HGV. No persons were injured. Crews released the vehicle from under the trailer using edraulic tools and a reciprocator saw. The incident was left with police and the responsible person.

Time: 08:54   Location: Rawcliffe, York

York responded to an activated fire alarm inside a property. Crews investigated and found no sign of smoke or fire. This was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time:  10:05  Location: Lancaster Park Road, Harrogate

Harrogate responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential building. After inspection, crews found no sign of smoke or fire and confirmed this as a false alarm.

Time:  11:44  Location: Carlton in Cleveland

Northallerton and Stokesley responded to a cyclist who lost control from the road, becoming trapped down an embankment and was heard by another cyclist who informed emergency services of their location. Police, ambulance, fire and air ambulance all attended and the casualty was lifted from the embankment using a long board and triple extension ladders. The incident was left with paramedics who transported the casualty involved to hospital via road.

Selby responded to reports of a fire near a warehouse. After inspection, this was confirmed as a controlled burn with the responsible person in attendance.

A crew from Whitby responded to a request from the Ambulance service to assist with a difficult extrication of a casualty from inside their property. Crews assisted with extrication and the casualty was taken to hospital via road.

Acomb responded to an activated fire alarm inside a a residential property. After inspection, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

York responded to an activated fire alarm inside a property. After inspection, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time: 16:27   Location: Shipyard Road, Selby

Selby responded to reports of a fire close to a warehouse. After inspection, this was confirmed as a controlled burn.

Time: 16:43  Location: Westway, Scarborough

Scarborough and Filey are investigation reports of smoke form a basement inside a commercial property. This incident is still ongoing.
