Incident Summary – Tuesday 16th June – Day Shift

Time: 08.42   Location: Bootham, York

Crews from York and Acomb responded to reports of smoke in a kitchen. This was a false alarm due to food being left in a microwave. Advice was given to the responsible person.

Time: 08.55   Location: Larpool Lane, Whitby 

Whitby crew responded to a young child who had accidentally locked a parent out of the house. The young child was able to open the door and was reunited safely with the parent outside.

Time: 10.38   Location: High Street, Northallerton 

Northallerton crews responded to assist somebody locked in a bathroom after the lock mechanism failed. Crews used small tools to safely release the individual trapped.

Time: 10.40   Location: Manor Drive, Knaresborough 

Knaresborough crew responded to assist a carer get into a room after the occupant had fallen and was unable to get up. Crews safely gained entry to the room, crews assessed for immediate injuries and assisted the occupant back to their feet. Crews left the occupant in the care of the carer on scene.

Time: 10.45   Location: Welborn Close, York 

A crew from York responded to assist paramedics gain entry to a property due to welfare concerns for the occupant. Crews used a game kit to access the property, the occupant was found safe and well.

Time: 11.30    Location: Stockton On The Forest, York

York crews attended reports of a strong smell of gas coming from a property. The gas board attended and determined there to be no gas leak. Crews gave advice to the responsible people present.

Time: 15.33   Location: Cropton

Crews from Pickering, Malton and Thirsk are currently at an incident involving a fire to poultry sheds, crews have established a water relay to extinguish the fire. This incident is ongoing at the time of publication.

Time: 15.47   Location: Woodlea Avenue, York

Acomb responded to assist an individual who had fallen and was unable to get up. Crews safely assisted the individual and left them in the care of the family member on scene.

Time: 16.13   Location: Ryngwoode Drive, Malton 

A crew from Scarborough responded to assist an individual who had fallen and was unable to get up. Crews safely assisted the individual back to their feet.

Crews from Scarborough responded to automatic fire alarm activations. After investigation these were found to be false alarm, advice was given to the responsible person.
