Incident Summary – 27th June – Day Shift
Time: 09:54 Location: York
Crews from York, Acomb, Selby and Tadcaster were mobilised to a roof fire at a block of flats. Crews used breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet to the front of the property and 1 hose reel jet on the Aerial Ladder Platform to the rear of the property to extinguish the fire. Incident left with Northern Power Grid to isolate electrics and York crew will carry out a revisit on night shift.

Leyburn and Harrogate Crews attended a tractor on fire within a field. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet extinguish the fire. Crews then used a thermal imaging camera to check for further hotspots. Incident left with vehicle owner.

Scarborough Crews were mobilised to smoke seen from a building. Upon arrival it was found to be a bin on fire. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and no further action was required.

Scarborough Crews were mobilised to a automatic fire alarm. Upon arrival it was found to be a false alarm caused by a fault on the system.

Acomb and Tadcaster were mobilised to a bin fire that had spread to a nearby shed. 1 hose reel jet used to extinguish the fire with about 50% fire damage to the premises. The cause was accidental.

A crew from Scarborough attended a report of a fire in the open. Crews used knapsack sprayers to extinguish, with the cause believed to be deliberate.

Scarborough Crews were mobilised to a fire in the open. Fire crews used a bucket of water to extinguish the fire. No further action required.
