Incident Summary – Day Shift – 9th September

08:31 – Wisteria Gardens, Harrogate

Harrogate’s appliance responded to reports of smoke and a burning smell in the area. On crews arrival, this was found to be a false alarm due to a controlled burn under supervision.

14:18 – Pollard Gardens, Scarborough

Scarborough’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with the difficult extrication of a person that had become trapped following a fall. Crews used small tools to release the casualty and crew power with a casualty drag sheet to transport them from the property into a road ambulance. The incident was left with paramedics.

15:12 – Filey Road, Osgodby

Scarborough’s TRV crew responded to a small unattended fire measuring approximately 1SQM. Crews extinguished it using two knapsack sprayers.

15:15 -B1257, Stokesley

Stokesley’s appliance was mobilised to reports of a fire in the open. This was found to be a controlled burn under supervision, crews gave advice.

15:22 – Woodfield Avenue, Harrogate

Harrogate’s crew responded to a fire in the garden of a residential property measuring approximately 3m by 3m. Crews extinguished using one hose reel jet due to the possible risk of fire spread. Advice was given to the responsible person.
