Incident Summary – 10th September 2026, Dayshift

Time: 10:06 Location: New Road, Hensall

A crew from Selby responded to a report of smouldering grass. This was found to be a field fire which had spread from a vehicle fire. Crews extinguished the fire and dampened down the area.

Time: 10:31 Location: A59 Blubberhouses

Both crews from Harrogate responded to a fire to the rear of a wagon. The fire was out on arrival and crews used a hose reel jet to cool the brakes. The crews then escorted the wagon to a place of safety where they monitored the temperature of the brakes. Advice was given and the vehicle was recovered.

A crew from York responded to smoke sighted. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 12:38 Location: Newton Lane, Fairburn

Crews from Tadcaster alongside a West Yorkshire appliance responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision with reports of a person trapped. The occupant was out on arrival and in the care of the Ambulance. Crews made the vehicle safe.
