08:49 – Cross Hills
A crew from Skipton responded to an automatic fire alarm activation in a domestic premises. This was confirmed as a false alarm activated by an aerosol can.
08:56 – Leyburn
A crew from Richmond responded to an automatic fire alarm activation. This was a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.
10:55 – Green Lane, Harrogate
Two crews from Harrogate attended an address where an automatic fire alarm was sounding. This was found to be a false alarm caused by the system being tested.
11:24 – Boston Spa
A crew from Tadcaster supported colleagues in West Yorkshire at a two vehicle road traffic collision. They assisted with providing first aid and then isolated the batteries of the vehicles to make the scene safe.
12:14 – Selby
A crew from Selby attended a property where a small fire had started in a bathroom. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet, and then ventilated the premises using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
12:40 – Leyburn
A crew from Leyburn attended an address where a person had fallen and was unable to get back up. The crew lifted the person back into a comfortable position and left them with their carer.
13:48 – Franklin Road, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate assisted paramedics with the difficult extrication of a casualty from the second storey of a property. The crew used a casualty care sheet and crew power to help move the patient into a waiting road ambulance. The casualty was then transported to hospital.
14:41 – Layerthorpe, York
York’s crew attended an address where a person was locked in a toilet cubicle. They used crew power to force entry and release the person from the cubicle.
15:00 – Tadcaster
Tadcaster’s crew attended a road traffic collision involving three vehicles. One person was medically trapped and required assistance exiting the vehicle. Crews used a 2 metre ladder, small tools and a thermal imaging camera. Crews also administered first aid to other casualties on scene using an IEC kit. The incident was then left with Police.
15:58 – York
York’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm that was sounding in a residential property. Crews carried out a full inspection of the property and it was found to be a fault on the system.
