Incident Summary – Night Shift 3rd September

Time: 17.27  Location:  Langdale End, Scarborough

Crews from Filey and Scarborough responded to a report of a fire in some woodland.  Crews located the fire and made their way on foot. The fire was monitored over night and the incident is still ongoing.

Time: 18.27  Location:  Wetherby Road, York

A crew from York responded to a report of smoke and ash coming from a nearby property.  On arrival the crews found this to be a controlled burn under supervision.

Time: 19.21  Location:  High Eggborough

A crew from Selby responded to a report of smoke seen in the area.  Crews located a fire measuring approx 10m x 3m and used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Time: 19.36  Location:  Pinfold Place, Thirsk

A crew from Thirsk responded to a report of a fire in a garden.  On arrival this was found to be a small fire pit with the occupier in attendance.

Time: 21.34  Location:  Helifield

A crew from Skipton responded to a request for assistance to gain entry to a property for Ambulance crews who were concerned for the occupant.  Crews gained entry to the property using a door enforcer and assisted Paramedics with extrication of the casualty to an Ambulance.

Time: 23.33  Location:  Harrogate

Two crews from Harrogate responded to a report of a smell of smoke on the first floor of a residential property.  After a thorough internal and external investigation this was found to be a false alarm.

Time: 03.18  Location:  Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request for assistance from Ambulance with extricating a casualty from a residence to an Ambulance to be taken to Hospital.

Time: 06.24  Location: Chatsworth Grove, Harrogate 

A crew from Harrogate responded to a request from Police to assist with gaining entry to a property where it was believed the occupant had fallen.  Crews gained entry to the property and assessed the casualty while awaiting Ambulance crews.

Crews from York and Scarborough also attended automatic fire alarm activations.  After inspection these were found to be false alarms.
