Time: 17.58     Location: A59

Both Harrogate crews responded to a road traffic collision involving a LPG tanker and a car, the tanker was empty and nobody was trapped at this incident, no fire service action was required and crews left the incident with the police.

Time: 19.20     Location: Alcuin Avenue, York

A crew from York responded to a report of a fire in a shopping trolley.  Crews extinguished the fire with 1 hose reel jet. The fire was believed to be deliberate and it was reported to police.

Time: 19.31     Location: Northstead Manor Drive, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of water coming through the ceiling of a flat from the flat above.  Crew isolated the water to the flat using the stop tap. The landlord was contacted and the incident was left with them to arrange a plumber to attend.

Time: 19.46     Location: Fellbeck

Crews from Summerbridge and Ripon responded to a property that had smoke coming from the chimney following a chimney fire earlier today that had been extinguished. The fire was now between the chimney flue and chimney stone wall, crews used small tools and chimney rods to extinguish the fire and advice was given to the responsible person present.

A Crew from Tadcaster responded to a request to assist Ambulance to gain entry to a property due to concerns for the occupant. The crew gained entry by loudly knocking on the door. When the occupant answered it was confirmed the patient they were looking for is not at this address and resides in East Yorkshire.

Crews from Ripon, Skipton, Scarborough, York and Harrogate also attended automatic fire alarms sounding, after crews investigated these were found to be false alarms. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
