Incident Summary – Night Shift Tuesday 17th March

Time: 17:57  Location: Stephney Road, Scarborough

Scarborough crew attended a residential property to assist Ambulance with removing a casualty, crew power used and casualty left in the care of Paramedics.

Time: 18:56   Location: Lime Tree Avenue, York

Acomb crew attended the area following an abandoned call with a direct request for fire. This was confirmed to be a hoax call made by youths, advice given.

Time: 18:57  Location: Waithwith Road, Catterick Garrison

Richmond crew attended to a person stuck in a lift. Lift keys used to bring it back down to ground level and free the member of the public.

Time: 19:19   Location: Kirk Road Romanby

Northallerton crew were mobilised to assist Ambulance with gaining entry however upon arrival they had already managed to gain entry so no requirement needed of the fire service.

Time: 20:01  Location: Valley Drive, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate attended a report of a fire in the open, this was confirmed to be a controlled burn but due to it’s location was extinguished by crews using 1 hose reel jet.

Time: 20:23  Location: Church Street, Whitby

A crew from Whitby attended a report of a fire in the open, this was confirmed to be under control and with responsible persons, advice given.

 

Crews from Helmsley, Scarborough (x2) attended reports of automatic fire alarms but these were confirmed to be false alarms.
