Incident Summary – 30th March Night Shift
Time: 17.55 Location: A64 Barton Hill
Crews from Huntington, Malton and York responded to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision where one person was trapped in a vehicle. Crews used stabilisation equipment, edraulic cutters and spreaders and to remove the roof from the vehicle and release the occupant.
Time: 21.08 Location: Spring Bank, Scarborough
Scarborough crew responded to a fire alarm sounding at a property, after investigation there had been a small fire in the property. The fire was out on crew arrival, but crews ensured it was fully extinguished and gave advice to the responsible person present. Cause is believed accidental.
Time: 23.02 Location: Trafalgar Terrace, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a smell of burning in a property, on arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes. There was light smoke logging in the property
Time: 02.29 Location: Burnsall Drive, York
A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a person who had fallen and was unable to get up. Crews used crew power to lift the person and assist them back to bed.
Time: 04.11 Location: Wigginton Road, York
Crews from Acomb, York and Tadcaster responded to reports of a fire to a bin in an industrial unit. The bin had been extinguished prior to the arrival of the crews and no fire service assistance was required. Crews gave advice to the responsible person.
Time: 04.41 Location: Colburn Village South, Colburn
A crew from Richmond responded to a request for assistance from Ambulance to help with the extrication of a casualty from a property and into a waiting ambulance. Crews used crew power to assist.
Crews from Ripon and Acomb also attended reports of automatic fire alarm activations. After investigation these were found to be false alarms.
