Incident in Skipton 1 September 2023

Update– Broughton Road has now reopened

We received a call at 09:04 to reports of a fire to a first floor flat on Belle Vue Terrace Skipton.

Crews from Skipton, Settle, Harrogate (including the Aerial ladder Platform) and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service attended.

The occupants had evacuated the flat on the arrival of fire crews.

Crews have extinguished the fire and continue to damp down any hotspots. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

As a precaution we have closed Broughton Road between Morrisons and the train station. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
