Incident Summary – 30th January – Night Shift
17:53 – Brockfield Park Drive, Huntington
York’s appliance were requested by police to assist with an incident involving two people trapped in a park. Crews used a triple extension ladder to free them.
18:12 – Mallory Court, Skipton
Skipton’s crew were mobilised to an incident involving a fire alarm sounding in a residential building. This was found to be a false alarm.
19:14 – Broughton Road, Skipton
Skipton’s crew attended an incident involving an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. After investigation, this was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
19:36 – Red Lane, Masham
Masham’s crew attended a commercial property where the automatic fire alarm was supposedly sounding. After investigating, the crew found no signs of fire and the alarm had not activated.
20:35 – Scotch Corner
Richmond’s appliance were mobilised to a vehicle fire. Crews used 1 hose reel, 2 breathing apparatus, one thermal imagining camera and cones to extinguish the fire and control traffic. The incident was left with highways.
20:55 – Bishopthorpe, York
York’s crew attended a residential building where a fire alarm was supposedly sounding. After investigating, this was found to be a false alarm due to a security alarm being triggered.
20:58 – Manor Road, Harrogate
One of Harrogate’s crews were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. This was a false alarm due to an accidental activation.
21:33 – Ripon Road, Harrogate
Harrogate’s appliance were requested to assist with releasing a lift car that had two people trapped inside. Crews used a lift key to free them and both people were unharmed.
22:46 – Dale Dyke Grove, York
York and Acomb’s appliance was mobilised to a residential property due to the dishwasher tripping the electrics and beginning to smoke. Crews used crew power only to isolate the appliance and relocate it safely outside.
02:57 – Ripon Road, Harrogate
Harrogate crew attended a domestic property following a report of an alarm sounding. Following investigation on site, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm. Advice given.
