A crew from Richmond attended a report of a vehicle on fire. The fire was out on arrival of the crew and they isolated the batteries. Advice was given.

Crews from Acomb and York responded to a fire alarm activating and a report of a smell of smoke inside a building. This was found to be a false alarm due to steam from a boiler. A full 360 inspection of the building was carried out.

A crew from York responded to a commercial skip containing cardboard which was on fire. Crews extinguished using one hose reel jet and a 70mm hose. Cause believed deliberate.

Crews from Ripon and Harrogate responded to a property where the fire alarm was sounding and there was a report of a smell of smoke inside the building. After investigation this was found to be a false alarm due to smoking.

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough responded to an unoccupied residential property on request from the police to help gain entry after an alarm was sounding inside. On arrival entry had already been gained and crew isolated a bathroom heater which had been left on full heat causing the alarm to activate.

A crew from Selby attended a residential property in which some occupants had got trapped in a room due to a fault with the door. The people were out on arrival and the crews assessed the door to prevent it happening again before the arrival of a maintenance team.

A crew from Acomb responded to a request from Ambulance to help gain entry to a bedroom where a casualty had fallen inside. Crews used a recip saw to gain entry and crew power to assist paramedics in moving the patient to a road ambulance.

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request from Ambulance to help gain entry to a property over concerns for the occupier. Access was gained and the occupant was left in the care of paramedics.

Crews from York and Acomb responded to a smell of smoke in a residential property. After investigation this was found to be from a pan which was left on a hob. Advice was given.

A crew from Whitby responded to a request from a care line to help gain entry to a property where a person had fallen inside. On arrival the person opened the door and they were left in the hands of carers. No fire service action was required.
