Incident Summary – 5th January – Day Shift

08:00 – Oxton Lane, Tadcaster

Crews from Acomb and York were mobilised to an incident involving a chimney fire. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet, a chimney kit, a thermal imaging camera, small tools and salvage sheets.

09:19 – Abbey Walk, Selby

Crews from Selby attended a commercial property due to a strong smell of burning coming from the ceiling. After investigation there was no fire found on the premises, crews advised them to contact an electrical engineer.

11:56 – Malpas Road, Northallerton

Northallerton’s crew were mobilised to an incident involving an automatic fire alarm sounding at a property. This was found to be a false alarm.

12:37 – Hull Road, Dunnington

York’s crew attended an incident involving a small fire in the open. On crews arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to controlled burning. Crews left the incident with a responsible person.

14:42 – Manfield

Richmond and Darlington crews attended and extinguished a fire involving an agricultural vehicle. One hose reel used to extinguish.
