17:15 Love Lane, Whitby

Whitby crews responded to a vehicle fire involving an Audi TT. the cause of the fire is a suspected mechanical issue. The vehicle was destroyed by fire. Crews used hose reels to extinguish the fire.

17:41 Prince of Wales Terrace, Scarborough

Scarborough and Filey crews were mobilised to investigate reports of a smell of burning and smoke alarms sounding in a residential care home. After inspection this was confirmed to be a false alarm. No fire was located.

18:12 East Parade, Harrogate

Harrogate crew responded to assist a person stuck in a lift. Crew used lift leys and the occupant of the lift was able to walk out the lift uninjured.

18:28 Kings Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crew investigated several reports of smoke issuing from a grate in the ground.  This was confirmed to be an electrical fire involving CCTV camera. Crews used a dry powder extinguisher to extinguish the fire involving the CCTV tower. Northern Power attended and incident was left in their hands.

22:44 Thistle Hill, Knaresborough

Knaresborough crew assisted with flooding in a residential property. Flooding was caused by a faulty bathroom fitting. Crews isolated the electrics and assisted occupiers with the clean up.

22:55 Main Street, Langton

Malton crews responded to assist with a chimney fire in as domestic property, the fire was out on arrival. Thermal imaging camera used and hotspot still detected, this was caused by a build up of soot.

00:03 Albany Avenue, Harrogate

Harrogate crews assisted Ambulance with gaining entry to a residential property in order to provide care for the occupant. Crews used spreader to access to key safe and provide access.

03:58 Westfield Way, Norton

A crew from Malton responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding. This was a false alarm with no signs of fire found.
