Incident Summary – Tuesday 17th February 2026 – Day Shift

Whitby, Pickering and Goathland crew responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision, crews stabilised the vehicle and assisted the driver out the vehicle. paramedics were on scene to check the casualty, but believed only minor injuries were sustained.

Ripon crew responded to a fire sighted, on arrival this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision with control measures in place, crews gave advice to the responsible person present.

Richmond crew assisted a carer gain entry to a property over welfare concerns for the occupant, on arrival entry was already gained and the occupant was found safe and well.

Time: 11.28    Location: Saviourgate, York

A crew from Acomb responded to a fire alarm activation at a property, after investigation this was found to be false alarm due to maintenance.

Time: 15.49   Location: Ripon

Ripon crew responded to an alarm sounding at a premises, on arrival this was a false alarm due to testing, advice was given to the responsible person.

Time: 15.56   Location: Landing Lane, Hemingbrough 

A crew from Selby responded to reports of a tree on fire, crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish. Cause believed deliberate.
