Incident Summary – Monday 23rd February 2026 – Day Shift

Crews from Harrogate and Knaresborough attended a two vehicle road traffic collision where the occupant of one of the vehicles was trapped. Crews released the occupant using driver side door removal and they were then transported to hospital via air ambulance. Crews then carried out scene safety and disconnected the batteries from both vehicles.
Time: 13:26 Location: Station Way, Norton
A crew from Malton responded to a request from Police to gain entry to a property for district nurses over concerns for the occupant. On arrival the occupant opened the door and no fire service action was required.
Time: 14:12 Location: Bickerton
A crew from Acomb alongside an appliance from West Yorkshire fire and rescue service attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. One of the vehicles was on its side with the occupant trapped inside. Crews stabilised the vehicle and used cutting equipment to remove the roof and release the occupant who was then taken to hospital via road ambulance. The incident was left in the hands of the police.
Time: 16:15 Location: High Street, Northallerton
A crew from Northallerton responded to a report of smoke coming from the bonnet of a vehicle. On arrival there was no sign of fire. Crews checked the vehicle with a thermal imaging camera and no hot spots were found. Advice was given to the owner.
Crews from Skipton, Northallerton, York (x2), Acomb, Ripon and Scarborough attended fire alarm activations. On arrival, after investigation these were all confirmed to be false alarms.
