08:18 – Pasture Lane, Seamer

Scarborough’s crew attended an incident involving an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

08:46 – North Road, Middleham

A crew from Leyburn were requested to assist ambulance with the difficult extrication of a casualty from the first floor of a property. Crews used crew power only to move them into the road ambulance where they were then taken to hospital.

11:21 – Lancaster Park Road, Harrogate

Harrogate’s crew were mobilised to an incident involving an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. After investigation, this was found to be a false alarm.

11:34 – Wheatfield Lane, York

A crew from Huntington responded to a request from ambulance to gain access to a residential property with a casualty inside. Crews used a door enforcer and small tools to gain entry and left the incident with paramedics.

12:30 – North York Moors Car Park

Stokesley’s crew along with Malton’s pump and animal rescue team were mobilised to an incident involving a dog that had fallen through the ceiling of a disused mine chamber. Luna, the Hungarian Vizsla, had fallen approximately 10 feet down and was unable to be reached by her owner. Crews used lighting, line rescue, strops, triple extension ladder, reach poles, shovels, spades and crew power in order to rescue her safely. Luna was happily reunited with her owners unharmed.

13:44 – Prospect Hill, Whitby

Whitby’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with a difficult extrication of a patient from their property. Crews used crew power to move them into the road ambulance and left the incident in the hands of paramedics.

14:48 – East Parade, Harrogate

Crews from Harrogate were mobilised to an incident involving an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to steam.

15:36 – Church Street, Whitby

Whitby’s crew attended a residential property with an automatic fire alarm sounding, this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

16:22 – Woodlands, Escrick

York’s crew were mobilised to a fire in the open. This was a controlled burn under supervision.

16:38 – Woodlands Chase, York

Acomb’s appliance were mobilised to an incident involving a small fire in a wooded area. Crews extinguished the fire using a knapsack sprayer.
