Time: 19:07 Location: Beechfield, Newton on Ouse
A crew from Acomb responded to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival this was confirmed to be controlled burning under supervision. Advice was given.
Time: 19:41 Location: Strensall, York
A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a smell of burning and a haze in the area. Crews carried out a thorough search of the area and no fire was found. This was a false alarm believed to be due to mist and a smell from log burners.
Time: 21:09 Location: Somerset Close, Catterick Garrison
Richmond mobilised to water leaking from the ceiling of a domestic property. Crews isolated the electrics and located the stop tap. The stop tap was isolated and advice given to the occupant. The cause of the leak was due to a pipe that had burst under the bath, causing water to leak into the kitchen below. Small tools used only.
Time: 21:18 Location: Thief Lane, York
York and Acomb responded to reports of smoke sighted inside a domestic property. However, despite the initial reports of smoke, the occupants did not report any smell of smoke. Crews arrived and began an full inspection of the property using a thermal imaging camera. No smoke or fire was located and the initial reports of smoke remain unknown. Crews checked all smoke alarms were working and advice was given to the occupants before they left the incident.

Acomb responded to reports of a bonfire sighted in the open. After inspection, this was confirmed as a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given to the responsible person.
Time: 01:43 Location: Field View, York
A crew from York attended a domestic property where there was flooding in the kitchen due to a faulty tap. Crews isolated the tap and advice was given.
Time: 04:12 Location: East Common Lane, Selby
Both crews from Selby responded to a machinery fire inside a commercial building. Crews wearing breathing apparatus removed parts of the machinery to dampen down hotspots after its suppression system had effectively worked to stop any further spread of fire. Crews left the incident in the hands of the responsible person to arrange an engineer and inspect the machine.
Crews from Filey, Bentham, Scarborough, Harrogate and Northallerton attended fire alarm activations. On arrival after investigation these were all confirmed as false alarms.
